Abstract

Hong Kong’s rapid economic development has elevated it to the status of a newly industrialized State. Its achievements in the medical field, where it is globally recognized as a leader, further underscore this growth. This research aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Hong Kong’s industrialization, focusing on the factors that have contributed to its success. It will also delve into the specifics of Hong Kong’s healthcare system, examining its infrastructure, policies, and government expenditure in the medical sector. The study will also investigate the influence of Hong Kong’s economic development on the quality and accessibility of healthcare, as well as its impact on medical research and innovation. By dissecting the elements that have propelled Hong Kong’s success in healthcare, this research hopes to offer countries like Nigeria a blueprint for developing a world-class medical infrastructure.
